This dedication ensures the high standard of quality in IBAR's products and services.

Refractories

Refractory products are essential to a wide range of industries. Any process involving high temperatures relies heavily on the performance of refractories. Continuous investments in process improvement, efficiency, and productivity drive the ongoing enhancement of refractory product quality.

Refractories are used in steel, cement, glass, petrochemical, and other industries where varied mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties—such as resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and thermal shock—are critical.

Refractories are categorized into five distinct chemical groups: silica, silica-alumina, alumina, basic, and special refractories. Based on their physical state, they are classified as shaped or monolithic, and by specific gravity, as dense or insulating.

Selecting the ideal refractory for each application depends on several factors, including process temperature, chemical aggressiveness of the environment, physical conditions, and the dominant physico-chemical mechanisms.

At IBAR, we are ready to provide solutions that meet the specific requirements of each process.
