Shaped Refractories
Basic Refractories
MgO-C Refractories: These refractories are composed of high-purity magnesium oxide and graphite, bonded with phenolic resins. They also include special additives to enhance oxidation resistance during use. MgO-C refractories offer excellent resistance to thermal shock and corrosion at high temperatures.
They are primarily used in steel ladles, electric arc furnaces (EAF), and BOF converters.
Magnesia-Chromite Refractories
These refractories contain magnesium oxide (MgO) levels ranging from 55% to 81%, produced by mixing magnesium oxide and chromite in varying proportions. They are dense, pressed, and fired at temperatures up to 1550°C (2822°F).
Magnesia-chromite refractories are primarily used in cement kilns, as well as in lead and copper industries.
Magnesia-Based Refractories
These products are primarily made from magnesium oxide aggregates with varying chemical purities. They are dense, pressed, and fired at high temperatures, with MgO content ranging from 81% to 98%.
Magnesia-Spinel Refractories
These basic refractories include the addition of spinel (MgO-Al2O3) and are pressed and fired at temperatures above 1550°C (2822°F).
They are mainly used in cement rotary kilns.
