Silica-Based Refractories
These are dense, pressed, and high-temperature fired products with silica (SiO2) content ranging from 65% to 97%. They are primarily made from high-purity silica sources. At high temperatures (above 600°C or 1112°F), silica refractories exhibit excellent resistance to deformation and thermal stability.
They are mainly used in coke ovens and glass manufacturing furnaces.
